Daily Mirror features House o' Hill

House o' Hill owners Karen, Helen and Daniel have been making their mark since taking over the hotel in Bargrennan, near Glentrool earlier this year. The hotel, right on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park, the UK's largest forest and the only official Dark Skies Park outside the United States, was featured in The Daily Mirror on Saturday, July 17th as part of an activity holidays feature. Aside from being a dark skies park, The Galloway Forest is also home to the world-renowned 7Stanes Mountain Biking Trails and the area hosts a range of exciting activities including zorbing. Journalist Jilly Beatie wrote of "The Hoose": "The House o' Hill had won an incredible reputation for tip-top nosh in the short time it had been open under the new management.   "After a great sleep and another excellent breakfast, Beloved and I regretfully packed our bags before we headed home." New owners make their mark The House o' Hill was acquired in 2010 by Karen, Helen and Helen's brother Daniel. Karen, who is originally from neighbouring Cumbria, met Helen and Daniel whilst living in Cambridge and the three decided to relocate to Bargrennan, an area of outstanding natural beauty, to run the House o' Hill Hotel which they re-opened on March 12th, 2010. They set out immediately to transform the House o' Hill into one of the most desirable places to eat in and stay in the area. The hotel has been extensively and tastefully refurbished to create a warm, inviting atmosphere which has already received praise from customers, the media and Business Gateway. The Daily Mirror has featured the House o' Hill in its Irish editions and The House o' Hill has also been positively featured in the Dumfries and Galloway Standard and The Galloway Gazette.
