It would be hard to imagine a more beautiful and tranquil setting for an inn anywhere in Scotland than that enjoyed by the House o' Hill Hotel on the edge of the Galloway Forest in Bargrennan, near Glentrool, Dumfries and Galloway.

But owners, Karen, Helen and Daniel truly understand that an attractive setting and comfortable accommodation is only part of what makes an inn somewhere you want to come back to time and time again.

Since taking over the House o'Hill in March this year, they've tastefully refurbished all areas of the hotel.
